Bentonite clay is formed from volcanic ash. It mainly consists of the mineral montmorillonite, but there are also iron, potassium, silicon, magnesium, sodium and calcium, minerals whose properties are well known.
Bentonite clay also contains parts of diatom algae, which gives it an organic character.
Clay has been a proven natural product since time immemorial, and it is mentioned in several places in the Bible, both as a preventive and as a means of healing. When bentonite clay is mixed with water, it swells and creates a charge that allows progressive elimination of toxins and pathogens (from the skin).
In addition to binding/adsorption, clay also has ion exchange and electromagnetic properties. And it not only eliminates toxins, but also nourishes the skin. Clay is a rare natural material that also contains nanoparticles.
Activated charcoal has antibacterial properties and helps flush out impurities and toxins from the body/skin. It is excellent for acne-prone and sensitive skin. It has a very large active surface, so it binds waste materials from the skin very quickly and efficiently.
The slightly rough texture of activated charcoal allows for excellent exfoliation, as it deeply cleans the pores and at the same time extracts excess oil from the skin. Activated charcoal progressively cleans problematic skin.
The combination of bentonite clay and activated charcoal achieves an even stronger and more progressive effect of cleaning the skin from toxins, bacteria and the dead layer from the skin surface.
Way of preparation:
Mix the appropriate amount of ACTIVE C and lukewarm water in a container (not made of metal) in a ratio of 2:3 (ACTIVE C: water). Stir the mixture well with a (plastic or wooden) spoon until a compact thick mass is obtained. After that, the mixture is ready for application.
Depending on the desired application, the following can be added to the mixture prepared in this way: fresh egg (white or yolk), chopped fruit, vegetables, essential oils, honey, dairy products (yogurt, sour milk, milk, cream, etc.), various fresh or dried herbs, vitamins and the like.
Use: ACTIVE C can be used to prepare various face masks (against acne and blackheads, for skin cleansing, hydration and degreasing of the surface layer of the skin), for hair care and growth, as well as for other parts of the body: masks against stretch marks and cellulite, wraps around joints and muscles, warm baths, skin peeling…
The prepared mask should be kept on the skin for up to 30 minutes, and then removed by gently massaging with a damp cloth (or cotton wool), or gently rinsing with lukewarm water.
Example of mask preparation:
- Anti-wrinkle mask
- Put 2 tablespoons of yogurt, 40g of grated apple in a container and add ACTIVE C until a thick mixture is obtained.
- Apply the mask on the face and keep it for about 20 minutes and then wash the face with lukewarm water.
Composition/Ingredients: Clay, activated carbon.
NOTES:
- ACTIVE C should not be brought into contact with metal objects.
- It is not recommended to apply ACTIVE C masks more than 3 times a week.
- After removing the mask, redness may occur, which is a consequence of increased blood circulation, and disappears in 20-30 minutes.
