It serves for individual medical diagnostic determination of fertile and non-fertile days in a woman’s menstrual cycle.
With daily use, using saliva as a sample, a woman can monitor her monthly cycle at home and determine the day of ovulation, as well as monitor the days when sexual intercourse can lead to conception.
A woman’s menstrual cycle includes the time from the beginning of one period to the beginning of the second period. Ovulation occurs in the middle of the cycle – the time of egg cell maturation. At the time of maturation (ovulation) of the ovum, the lining of the uterus also matures, which is able to receive the fertilized egg.
Note: Conception can occur after the release of an egg – ovulation. A female egg cell is capable of fertilization no more than 48 hours after ovulation, and spermatozoa retain their fertilizing power for up to four days after ejaculation.
This means that conception can occur in the case of sexual intercourse in the period 3-4 days before, on the day itself or 2-3 days after ovulation. This period of FERTILITY DAYS is estimated at seven days in the middle of the cycle. With the daily use of Maybe Baby, SEVEN FERTILITY DAYS can be reliably determined.
How are fertile days and infertile days determined with Maybe Baby?
It has been proven that the increased level of estrogen hormones during FERTILITY DAYS affects the increased salt content in saliva.
On those days, in a dried sample of saliva, salt crystals can be seen under a microscope, which gives the image the appearance of fern leaves, and it is said that FERTILE DAYS are characterized by a FERN STRUCTURE.
On the day of ovulation, the level of estrogen hormones, as well as salt in the saliva is the highest, so the fern structure is the densest.
During the other fertile days, a MIXED STRUCTURE is noticeable – fern twigs appear in some parts of the picture.
During the INFERTILITY DAYS, there is no pronounced concentration of salt in the saliva, so the picture has a POINTED STRUCTURE – there are no ferns.
In other words:
There are FERNS – FRUITFUL DAYS,
No FERNS – INFERTILITY DAYS.
